GUIDE REVLY

Record a motorcycle ride without interrupting the outing

Set up your phone before putting on gloves, choose your stops and revisit the ride afterwards.

Prepare the ride and the recording separately

Choose a destination, breaks and a realistic return. Check conditions for the day you travel. An existing recording is a memory of an earlier outing; it does not confirm that a road is open now. Prepare directions separately if you need to follow a plan.

Set up before putting on gloves

While stationary, check the battery, selected vehicle and location access. Start recording and verify your position before putting on gloves. If you use a mount, follow its manufacturer’s guidance for your installation. Consider protection from heat and rain.

Choose useful stops

Pick places where you can park without obstructing access. Use breaks to check battery, take photos or change directions. A mapped viewpoint may only be accessible on foot, so locate parking separately. A Web listing is a scouting aid, not permission to ride up to a panorama.

Agree on regrouping before a group ride

Choose clear meeting points and decide what happens if someone falls behind. Each rider should know the next stop without reading a conversation while riding. The journal keeps an individual memory of the outing; it does not organise the group.

Finish and review on arrival

Stop recording once parked. Compare the trace with the places you travelled through and name the ride. Interruptions or weak reception can make sections less precise. Keep that limitation in mind when planning another outing from the record.

Choose what to share

A screenshot can reveal more than the main mountain pass: a start near home, a number plate or a private meeting point. Review the map and photos before sharing. Web publication is separate from recording and should be used only when you intend a route to be public.
