Choose a backdrop, then check access
An appealing viewpoint may not be accessible by vehicle or suitable for parking. Check its location, access and operator’s instructions. A walking viewpoint is not necessarily a vehicle photo location.
Find a suitable stopping place
Choose an authorised place to park, then assess the background from there. Reject shots that require stopping on a traffic lane or blocking access. If the location is busy, use your alternative.
Take a few scouting shots
A wide image shows the setting, a three-quarter view shows the vehicle, and a detail creates a different memory. Check distracting background elements. Walk around the parked vehicle rather than repeatedly moving it.
Select before sharing
Keep a few distinct views rather than many near-duplicates. Check faces, plates and visible addresses. A personal photo deserves another review before public sharing.
