Choose what you want to keep
For your first recording, choose a short drive with familiar landmarks. The aim is to keep the actual path, distance and duration. If you need directions to an address or planned stops, prepare navigation separately. Revly recording does not replace those directions.
Prepare the phone while parked
Open Revly before moving. Check your account and selected vehicle. If the system requests location access, read the options and use the recording settings required by your version. Allow enough battery for tracking and any navigation you also use. Set this up before driving.
Make a short first recording
Start while stationary outdoors and check that your location appears. End the first test after a few minutes somewhere you can park. Open the result and compare the start, finish and landmarks with the journey you made. This helps you learn the recording flow.
End at the right place
Finish recording at your destination before continuing on foot. Give the outing a recognisable name based on the main place, vehicle or occasion. A list of entries all called “journey” becomes hard to browse. Keeping an imperfect recording does not require publishing it online.
Understand an incomplete result
A tunnel, weak reception or interrupted recording can leave a gap. Compare landmarks rather than treating a straight line as a real road. Review permissions and battery settings before another drive. A missing recording cannot automatically reconstruct the path.
If the drive does not appear
Check that you are using the same account and ended the recording. Restore a network connection for synchronisation. If the entry remains missing, contact support with your phone model, app version and approximate date. Do not send passwords or screenshots exposing a private address.
